Happy birthday month! I mean April...happy
April. Welcome to my second installment of monthly inspiration! I am so excited
for this post.
I am going to try something a little different
and a little more structured this month. For March, I kind of just wrote down
whatever was on the front of my mind. But because there are so many things that
I want to talk about, I thought that this post could use something a little
different.
So from now on, I will talk about:
- Last month’s accomplishments
- An
anxiety and depression update
- Things I love at the moment
- To-do and goals list for the following month
- Upcoming plans
Like I said, I am really excited about how this
is going to turn out.
Also, I realize that the photos aren’t very
Aprily, but they're from a trip Bill and I took this past month to Peddler’s Village
in New Hope, PA. We had a lot of fun so I wanted to showcase them!
Enjoy!
March || Let’s start with my
accomplishments last month and yes, I consider finishing Dishonored 2 an
accomplishment. But seriously, this past month’s accomplishments really put my
goals into perspective.
I lost six pounds also and that’s pretty cool
also. I’m on sort of a health journey right now. I know that it’s not all about
the pounds on the scale (my main goal is strength), but it still feels really
good.
I also started an eating schedule. Bill and I
started eating the same thing for dinner the same nights of each week, which I
know sounds boring, but it is so helpful in creating healthier eating habits.
I’m actually thinking about creating a separate post on this.
March is also the month that I decided to get serious about my blog, which is a HUGE accomplishment because I have struggled with goals my entire life. I'll have a post coming up soon about this as well.
Anxiety and Depression
|| As far as dealing with my anxiety and depression, I’ve hit
a couple roadblocks. Actually, I stopped seeing a therapist. I don’t have
the time and having to make the trip to the office was only stressing me out.
So, I have to find ways of coping with anxiety
because trust me, I’m really not good at it.
Like terrible.
Things I’m Loving
|| But on a happier note, there are some
things that I love right now that give me the inspiration to cope with my
problems.
I don’t watch a lot of shows on TV - I’m just a
big, die hard fan of a few. Seriously, I could not live without Once Upon a
Time, Pretty Little Liars, and especially
Bob’s Burgers.
But in March, I watched the whole first season
of the Netflix original series called The Crown. I have been absolutely
obsessed with learning about the royal family because of this show and it made
me feel like I should be a lot classier in my everyday mannerism…
Also in TV, Bill and I have been watching
another English series, based on the books written by Agatha Christie. I had
honestly never heard of them until last month, but it is so fun to spend the
time together, solving murder mysteries in the 1920s.
For my health, I’ve been loving drinking water
with lemon, cucumber, and mint. It makes my whole body feel like it’s being
flushed out and detoxed. Really, it’s awesome.
To-do list and Goals
|| My to-do
list for April consists of a few things.
I
mainly need to continue growing my savings. My savings account is still kind of
wimpy, but I’m very proud of where I have gotten so far. I’ll admit, I had some
help from Bill, but it’s taken a lot for me to be able to budget out all of my
funds and set some aside.
I also want to make sure that I am eating more
veggies. Yeah, yeah that sounds cliché like a new years resolution that no one
ever keeps, but I am trying to be very conscious about what goes into my body. I’m
looking for some healthy inspiration, and vegetables with most meals seems like
a good place to start.
April Plans
|| I don’ t
have too many plans for April 2017.
I am seeing John Mayer, which will be fun, but
I’m looking far more forward to the concerts that I have tickets for this
summer, like Incubus and Sublime With Rome.
John is the day after my birthday, but other
than that, I don’t have any big plans. I turn 23, so that’s grounds to throw a
big, extravagant birthday party, right? ...Right?!
April will be the month that I start focusing a
lot of time on my blog. I want to spend a lot more time on it this month to
develop it. Just like my savings, I’m really proud of my blog’s start, but I’m
so SO excited to see where I can make it go!
